COUNTING DOWN, COUNTING UP - MAKE IT COUNT!

DSC_4204.jpg

This time of year, it seems that everyone joins in the incredulous chorus - how is it June already? Where is the year going? And why is it going so fast?!

Here at Babes, we know the feeling! And that's despite the fact we're always counting the weeks - counting down to a new mama delivering her little one, or counting up as little ones get rapidly bigger!

So much can be achieved in just 52 short weeks - and at this time of year especially, The Babes Project has some incredible opportunities for you to make your 2017 a year that really counts.

As The Babes Project grows, so do opportunities to help us support mums, bubs and families across Melbourne's east and south-east. Our next twice-yearly Volunteer Intake opens on Monday 3rd July, and there's plenty of exciting ways you can help our mountain-moving mission!

Applications will be open for the following roles:

Pregnancy Support Worker (Croydon and Frankston Hubs)
Workshop Support Worker (Croydon and Frankston Hubs)
Midwife (Croydon and Frankston Hubs)
Finance Support (Croydon Admin Hub)
Admin Support (Croydon Admin Hub)
Photographer (Croydon Admin Hub)
Marketing & Communications (Croydon Admin Hub)

If you think you can commit regular time to any of these roles, email us at [email protected] to request a position description be sent out on July 3rd, or keep an eye on our website and all PDs will be uploaded then, too!

In the meantime, new and returning supporters are always welcome! As part of our End Of Financial Year Appeal, you can sign up to be a regular donor, or support The Babes Project with a one-off financial donation. Donations are tax deductible, and make a huge difference to our transformative work.

If you aren’t able to donate financially, you can still support The Babes Project by purchasing items from our online store, purchasing a copy of Rewriting Motherhood, or sharing The Babes Project stories on social media.

In fact, there's never been a better time to share The Babes Project story far and wide! If you're looking for a great place to start, head to ABC Baby Talk, where podcast presenter Penny Johnston interviewed founder Helen Parker, and gorgeous mama Lauren.

Happy listening! And stay tuned to our blog for fortnightly wrap-ups of news at Babes. There's so much happening, we can't wait to keep you up-to-date with all our exciting news.
